Believed to date to the 14th century (rebuilt after earlier structures), it is one of the very few temples in India dedicated to Brahma the creator, standing beside the sacred Pushkar Lake.
Legend holds Brahma performed a yagna here, and Pushkar Lake itself is considered to have sprung from a lotus dropped by him, making the town one of Hinduism's holiest.
Nearest airport: Kishangarh (~25 km) or Jaipur. Nearest railway station: Ajmer (~15 km), then short drive.
Wide range of guesthouses and hotels throughout Pushkar town.
