History & Legend

Built in its current form in the early 20th century modeled architecturally on the Golden Temple, with a silver-plated gate and a causeway over a sacred tank.

Divine Significance

One of Punjab's most important Hindu shrines, drawing especially large crowds during Navratri and Diwali, when it is illuminated alongside the Golden Temple.
