The twelve Jyotirlingas are the holiest abodes of Shiva, self-manifested pillars of light spread across India from Somnath in the west to Rameswaram in the south and Kedarnath in the Himalayas. Completing darshan at all twelve is one of the most revered pilgrimages in Shaivism.
